The »Schwankcore« usually rehearses in the foyer or in one of the halls of the Schwankhalle. The premises are »accessible« (pursuant to DIN 18040-01). This applies to the entrances to the foyer, the Alte and Neue Saal and the sanitary facilities. The rehearsals take place in German spoken language. Every week, people of all ages and genders meet at the Schwankhalle to sing together. The focus is on experimenting together and having fun singing—with absolutely no pressure to perform. A program committee selects the pieces to be rehearsed together with choir director Joan Augustin. Occasional performances in and around Bremen are fun, but not required. Now the Schwankcore is finally open to new members again. No prior experience necessary!
