Peter-Zadek-Platz and the foyer of the Schwankhalle are accessible at ground level and without steps.

There are three different toilets: an accessible toilet that is also suitable for wheelchair users, a toilet with three toilet cubicles, and a toilet with urinals and one toilet cubicle.

Further information on the accessibility of our premises can be found here: Barrierefreiheit. If you have any questions, please contact us at ticket@schwankhalle.de or 0421 520 80 70.

Located between the Schwankhalle and the Städtische Galerie, between the Buntentor and Werdersee, and between cultural and residential spaces, lies Peter-Zadek-Platz. Not many people know its name, and quite a few mistake it for a parking lot. But more and more people are coming together to slowly reinvent this place.

What exactly is a square? By definition, a “larger flat area (for specific purposes, e.g., events, gatherings).” And that is exactly how we want to use this larger flat area in the heart of Buntentor this summer! The specific purpose: a colorful summer festival. Jointly organized by the local cultural venues and neighbors—together and for one another, just the way we like it… because the square belongs to all of us!

From concerts to cocktails, from exhibition to pizza party, from reading stage to bouncy castle, and from flea market to silent disco—there’s a place for everything and everyone here. The program is being developed in cooperation with many people and will be announced here soon. What we can already promise: It’s going to be a party!
