In the fall of 2020, choreographer Julia B. Laperrière premiered ›Falla‹ at the Schwankhalle Bremen. In her duet with guitarist Pia Achternkamp, she explored the transformative and empowering potential of the strap-on dildo for new images of female sexuality. A year later, she returns to Bremen with ›Falla VR – The Exhibition‹, inviting the audience to immerse themselves in the performance through a virtual reality experience. The walk-through installation - a surreal, immersive and bodily landscape that can be experienced visually, acoustically and physically - was designed in collaboration with visual artist Simone Kessler. ›Falla VR – The Exhibition‹ invites visitors to linger and equally offers space for individual experiences and encounters.
