It is not always possible for everyone to go out and attend a concert. No matter if you are chronically ill, disabled, neurodivergent or a single parent—our living room concerts bring the music directly to your home. Invite up to ten of your most beloved people and experience a 30-minute concert in your own four walls!

Whether queer-feminist statement rap by Finna (Fri 01/09 & Sat 01/10), poetic cover song performances by Kristin Gerwien (Fri 02/13 & Sat 02/14) or singer-songwriter sounds by the newcomer Ameel Hotaky (March 2026)—our living room concerts offer a unique musical experience just for you with minimal technical effort.

The artists play for tips, for a donation that you and your guests freely choose. Our FAQ section gives you information on how you can participate.

How it works — FAQ

Who are the living room concerts for?

The living room concerts are meant for people who are currently not able to attend a concert event. For example, because of a chronicle illness or disability, for family reasons or on account of neurodivergence. You don’t have to explain why the living room concert should come to you. We trust that you have reasons!

How can I participate?

Would you like to host a living room concert at your place? Then you can apply by email, phone, or WhatsApp:

Email: wohnzimmerkonzert@schwankhalle.de

We require the following information:

  • First and last name
  • Desired date
  • Address (only in Bremen)
  • A way to contact you via your preferred communication channel: phone number OR email address OR WhatsApp

Four people will be selected at random from all registrations and notified by us within 7 days of the registration deadline.

You can find the detailed terms and conditions here Terms and conditions

What does it cost?

The artists play “for tips,” meaning that you and your guests donate an amount that you freely choose depending on what you can afford. Please have cash ready for this.

What happens next if I am drawn by lot?

Our team will contact you via your preferred channel of communication. We will then arrange a date to visit you at home and see if the concert can take place there. We will discuss what is important to you and the artists so that we can all have a good time together (e.g., spatial requirements, pets, hygiene measures).

If everything fits, you can look forward to your personal living room concert! Furthermore, you can invite up to ten people you would like to have there with you.

On the day of the concert, your favorite artist and a person from the team of the Schwankhalle will come to your home. We won’t bring much with us because the concerts don’t require a lot of technical equipment.

What happens if I have to cancel the concert?

Some things just can’t be planned. If you have to cancel the living room concert, we ask you to inform us 48 hours in advance at the latest, so that another person on our waiting list can get a chance.
