Interaktive Installation
How much creative potential lies in destruction? Does manipulation perhaps offer the opportunity to gain insight into the nature of things? With her live installation “Worktable,” Kate McIntosh invites the audience to become artistic accomplices. Equipped with tools and safety glasses, she sends visitors on an itinerary through the different rooms of the Schwankhalle. Everyone decides for themselves to what extent the objects are to lose their shape or be relieved of their actual purpose by working on them. Whether with brute force or cautiously, in a destructive or supplementing manner – the creative manipulation is entirely up to the visitors.
