»SO! … entscheiden und dabei bleiben«
The 21st Biennale Aktuelle Musik of the projektgruppe neue musik bremen places the focus on productions of international contemporary music that distinguish themselves by concentrating on just a few elements. Not variety, contradictions or constantly progressing developments are at the fore, but the illumination and fathoming of musical material in numerous details and facets. The pieces ask the listeneers to perceive slow modifications and the tiniest changes in what only seems to always be the same.
For the first time, the projektgruppe neue musik bremen will present its new focus ARTIVISM in the frame of the 21st Biennale Aktuelle Musik. In an interactive online event, three visual artists from Armenia and three composers living in Germany/Switzerland present their collaboratively produced media works that are not limited to immanent pictorial and musical aspects, but also incorporate contemporary philosophical and sociopolitical themes. In a time in which nationalistic tendencies and military conflicts are on the rise all over the world, the pgnm seeks to expand the mostly Central European horizon of contemporary music and art through international cooperation projects.
