Every German produces more than 200 kilograms of packaging waste each year. With ›Oblivion‹, the Belgian Sarah Vanhee undertook a self-experiment and collected all her actual and virtual waste for a period of one year. This resulted in a more than two-hour performance taking place in the entire theater hall. Minute by minute, sentence by sentence, the space is filled with objects, thoughts, relationships, and sounds which she had actually already discarded.

After premiere Vanhee sayed:
›It doesn’t feel liberating at all, more like depressing. I even feel bad physically. I really miss that moment of deliberately keeping something: not having to choose what was of value and what wasn’t, of giving all these things a chance, just as they are. On one occasion I even started a serious conversation with a yoghurt pot. All the memories that come flooding back are very moving. Now it feels as if I’m throwing away whole relationships.‹
