In their interdisciplinary performance project ›Nah am Wasser gebaut‹, the theater group Die Soziale Fiktion continues its engagement with the issue of housing which began in 2020 with ›Render Ghosts‹—a play about miniature persons in architecture models. The Bremer Überseestadt is one of the largest development areas for ›living and working‹ that are currently being built in many other cities as well. Will they become the deprived areas of the future? Die Soziale Fiktion raises questions about life in late capitalism based on the example of the Überseestadt: What does the inner life of the buildings and the people living in them look like? As ›Insecurity‹, the group traverses the quarter and comes in contact with its residents. An (in)security service that guards the newly built area, but also makes it a bit insecure.
