Little Annie is a New York-based musician and artist. Since her early youth she has been a show star of counter-worlds with her low, hoarse, and smoky voice. In 1980, she sang in London under the name of ›Annie Anxiety and the Asexuals‹ in the context of the punk band Crass about striking miners, and Frank Zappa became a fan of hers. Between absinth-soaked jazz and British electronic music influenced by dub, Little Annie develops a unique, calm style reminding one of ›Bohren und der Club of Gore‹, produced by Hegarty, the singer of Anthony and the Johnsons, with Paul Wallfisch, Adrian Sherwood, Baby Dee, and Marc Almond. The list of legendary co-musicians is endless. In line with this, she will play with Budgie, drummer of ›Siouxsie and the Banshees‹ at the Schwankhalle. The supporting act is the Australian Ned Colette, who has worked with Joanna Newsom, St. Vincent and Deerhoof, and combines elements ranging from folk to musique concrete.
