Being open. Processing all senses, stimuli and information in a permanent, intensive and unfiltered way.
Physically integrating the expanse in the field of tension between being stuck and starting to move. Being allowed to withdraw at times, despite all openness.
Openness as a normal condition. As an extreme. As a balancing act in unpredictability.

»OFFEN« is a laconic dance performance shot from the hip. With the means of collage, Jenni Pergament and Mateng Pollkläsener cut apart their own language. They copy movements, assemble everything wildly and throw it in disarray. They celebrate the play with movements, lines and tape, grasping the space as a three-dimensional canvas. Assertions are thrown into the air, assessments of others are called into question and refuted, and their own freedoms are found therein. Their common language is taken up in an easy and free way by the musical subtlety of Johannes Haase.

Jenni’s background lies in dance, Mateng’s in acting. They share a common history and are inspired by each other’s creativity. Their experience of life is fed by different generations. Coming together on the stage, they contribute their specific bodily qualities to create a shining composition of choreography, tape and music.
