After two EPs and several million streams, the Hamburg-based singer, songwriter, producer, and artist KUOKO celebrates the release of her eponymous debut album on Kabul Fire Records in October. With an enormous range of electronic pop sounds and a clear queer-feminist attitude, the Vietnamese-German artist claims her place—in an industry that still rarely grants non-white and non-male artists the room to realize themselves in their entire complexity. KUOKO not only writes and produces her music herself, she also creates her own visual language. The videos of her singles ›Perfect Girl‹ and ›Yellow Fever Gaze‹ were made in teamwork with her recently founded film collective SEOI.
