Music/Performance/Installation
Highly charged, painful and disturbing spaces of remembrance characterize the novels and films of Thomas Harlan (1929 – 2010). His work as an artist and activist responds to a society that wants to forget the crimes of the Nazi era as quickly as possible. Harlan’s spaces mark the starting point of a new long-term project by the MusikAktionsEnsembles KLANK. Together with the stage designer Lea Burkhalter and guests, KLANK first stages a workspace and showroom, bringing together historical work, current music, performance and science, model-making and table talks, cartographies and courses of time, production and presentation – in the lines of tradition of absolute presence.
