In this workshop series with the composer and music theater director Daniel Dominguez Teruel, a soundscape and musical maze will evolve. Up to 50 singers are invited to create this sonic landscape with their voices and bodies by singing, speaking and rapping very different songs without the accompaniment of instruments – at the same time and in an overlapping manner. Individual voices come to the fore, mingle with other voices and thus merge into a kaleidoscopic soundscape. The songs will be proposed by the participants themselves and jointly selected in consultation with Daniel Dominguez Teruel. Rehearsals will take place in varying constellations: all together, in small groups and individually. Mara Hebel, the choir director of »Schwankcore« ↗, will lead the rehearsals

We are looking for people of all ages who are interested in working with their voice. No prior knowledge or vocal skills are required.
The workshops are free of charge and will be continued in 2024.

The aim is to present the composition created in this way at the Schwankhalle in April 2024. Participation in the first workshops in November is non-binding; starting in spring of 2024, monthly rehearsal blocks will be held for the performance in April.
