At the first Equality Slam for FLINTA** of the University of Bremen, text artists of all kinds will take to the stage together with the prize-winning comedian, actress and YouTuber Idil Baydar. They all slam for and against what has always been preying on their minds: stereotypes, clichés, obstacles and barriers on their path to the university and through the academic field. And it’s high time for this—the university is turning 50! All contributions expose compartmentalization and pigeonholing and uncover discriminations at the university. On this evening, poetry takes place without awarding a trophy, for the Equality Slam only knows winners!

* The German acronym FLINTA* stands for: Women, lesbians, non-binary- , trans*-  and agender identities.

An event of the Equal Opportunities Office at the University of Bremen.
