Jane wants to get married. Lizzie treasures her independence, And Lydia just wants to have fun. The three sisters set off on an adventurous journey through the estates of their society and encounter a powerful baroness, a quaint priest, an undisciplined soldier and a range of servants. But then two, young, marriageable men move to the region: shadowy Darcy and cute Bingley.
Thermoboy FK peer with ›Pride and Prejudice‹ through literary characters at the links between love and money, cohabitation and individual freedom – and the possibilities of theater as a form of self-staging and self-invention. In an independent adaptation, they rewrite and continue Jane Austen’s moral portrait from the 19th century. Eight men play female and male roles, thus raising questions of representation, visibility and privileges both as performers and characters.
