Whether at the protests in Athens or Prague, the debates on gentrification in Hamburg or questions of structural racism in the German theater and media landscape – the writer, musician, theater producer and filmmaker Ted Gaier gets involved. In his texts, he engages with both politics and the art of, for example, Charles Mingus, Bob Dylan, Ton Steine Scherben, Udo Lindenberg, DAF, Kolossale Jugend, Herbert Grönemeyer, Stereo Total, Mariola Brillowska, Chris Korda, 1000 Robota, or Die Türen. At the same time, he repeatedly questions his own work with the Goldenen Zitronen and the Schwabinggrad Ballett.
His book ›Argumentepanzer‹ is a compilation of texts written for arts sections and song lyrics, in which he shows an attitude – precisely by not becoming rigid.
