Let’s go to Dublin! Surrounded by four screens, we experience three acoustic and visual perspectives of the Irish capital. The sounds are by the composers Scott McLaughlin, Gráinne Mulvey and Fergal Dowling, the images by the video artist Mihai Cucu. The source of inspiration for the installation of the Dublin Sound Lab was one of the panoramic images by the Irish artist Robert Baker, who had it patented 230 years ago.
The Dublin Sound Lab, founded in 2008, is a contemporary music ensemble specialized in electroacoustic and computer-based concert performances. On the occasion of its tenth anniversary, the ensemble will be a guest of REM.
REM – Rapid Ear Movement - ist eine Veranstaltungsreihe der projektgruppe neue musik bremen (pgnm). Die pgnm wird gefördert vom Senator für Kultur der Freien Hansestadt Bremen.
