›Mining Stories‹ is a documentary piece by the Belgian duo Silke Huysmans and Hannes Dereere about a 2015 mine accident in the Brazilian region of Minas Gerais, where Huysmans grew up. Huysmans and Dereere interviewed residents, scientists, historians, activists, and neurologists. Arranged on the stage with modesty and charm, a complex audio patchwork with commentaries on remembrance, politics, belief, and storytelling unfolds.
It is possible and highly recommended to also visit the thematically related performance of GLOBO following the audio performance.
